Prayagraj Boy dies after teacher slaps

A three-and-a-half-year-old boy, Shivay Jaiswal, died in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj on Thursday after a teacher allegedly slapped him for crying in class. The shocking incident took place at a private school in the Naini area, sparking widespread outrage and grief.

Prayagraj Kid Dies After Teacher Slaps Him For Crying

Shivay’s family said a teacher took him to his elder brother’s classroom because he was crying. There, another teacher allegedly slapped him. The family claims the impact made Shivay hit his head on a bench. He started bleeding from his mouth and nose.

The school informed Shivay’s father, Virendra Jaiswal, that his son had suddenly fallen ill. When he arrived, he found Shivay unconscious. The family rushed the child to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The boy’s death has caused anger in Prayagraj. People online and in the area are demanding justice.

FIR Filed Against Two Teachers, Investigation Underway

Police filed an FIR against two female teachers under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Officials have started an investigation to uncover the full story.

Additional CP (Law and Order) Ajay Pal told TOI, “We are scanning the CCTV footages, and legal action will be initiated accordingly. A detailed probe will reveal the exact sequence of events.”

Police questioned the school staff and recorded statements from Shivay’s family. A panel of two doctors conducted the postmortem. They preserved the viscera for further medical examination to find out what caused the boy’s death.

So far, the school has not made any public statement. Locals gathered outside the school, demanding justice for Shivay. Many parents are now raising concerns about how a teacher could harm a child so young inside a classroom.

Child rights groups have also spoken out. They are urging schools to take safety more seriously and enforce better systems to protect students.
