SP plans to targets Yogi govt in Budget session tomorrow

The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is starting from February 20. This session will continue till March 10 after Holi. The budget for the financial year 2023-24 will be presented on February 22. The special thing is that there will be 14 days of meetings in this session. These 14 days will prove to be a time of examination for the Yogi government. The reason for this is, after the Global Investors Summit, the scam in the Yogi government came to the fore in the state. In the last one week, the bribery case against Dharam Singh Saini, a minister in the Yogi government, has come to the foreApart from this, the case of allotment of 72 industrial plots to Minister Rakesh Sachan, who was convicted under the Arms Act in the Yogi government, and the case of fraud in the scholarship of SC-ST and disabled people has also come to the fore.

Due to the concept of getting justice from bulldozers, the painful death of a mother-daughter of a poor Brahmin family in Kanpur has also happened in the last one week and Yogi government has also decided not to increase the price of sugarcane last week. All these are matters which will be difficult for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to answer in the House. And to get direct answers to these questions, the opposition parties will surround the Yogi government in the House. Then it will not be easy for the Yogi government to answer the questions of the opposition. This is the reason why the 14-day session of the UP Vidhansabha is being described as a time of examination for the Yogi government.

Assembly session exam for Yogi government

Anyway, this time a much changed scene will be seen in the UP assembly. During the last assembly session, where Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav were seen sitting far apart in the House, this time both will be seen sitting side by side. This will be the first such assembly session in the last 22 years when no member of Azam Khan’s family will be allowed to sit. Will not be present in the house. Both Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam will not be in the House due to losing their membership. Not only this, the new rules for operating the assembly will also be passed in this budget session.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana intends to prolong the budget session so that the members of the party and the opposition get more opportunities to speak, so this time the meetings have been held on Saturdays as well, whereas in the earlier sessions, the members left for their homes only on Friday evening. Used to do In the midst of such a changed environment, this time the main opposition party SP is preparing to attack the government with many important issues.

Opposition will raise many new issues to surround the government

During this budget session, the Samajwadi Party (SP), Congress, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will surround the Yogi government on issues like law and order in UP, farmers’ problems, unemployment and caste census. SP, BSP, Congress and RLD have also made preparations for this. Apart from this, this time the issue raised by SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya in the House will also catch fire. The effect of the political statements made so far outside the House regarding Shudra will also be seen in the House this time.

Apart from this, the case of two Brahmin women being burnt to death in Kanpur Dehat will also catch fire. At the same time, it will be a matter to be seen whether the opposition listens to the Governor’s speech peacefully or according to the old custom, it turns its protest into noise and ruckus. Regarding this question, SP spokesperson DrAshutosh Verma says, the opposition does not go to create ruckus in the house, the ruckus happens when the leaders of the ruling party prevent the opposition from raising public issues in the house.
