The 9th board meeting of the Uttar Pradesh Brij Teerth Development Council was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with discussions focused on accelerating development works in Mathura-Vrindavan while preserving the region’s spiritual, cultural and heritage significance.
Focus on Brij Chaurasi Kos Parikrama: CM Yogi Adityanath
During the meeting, the strengthening and improvement of the Brij Chaurasi Kos Parikrama Marg was discussed. The route is an important pilgrimage circuit for devotees visiting the Braj region.
The meeting also reviewed arrangements aimed at improving facilities for pilgrims, including the development of holding areas and multilevel parking facilities to manage the movement of visitors more effectively.
City Bus Service and Traffic Management
The Chief Minister also discussed the need for a suitable city bus service in Vrindavan to improve local transportation and provide easier connectivity for residents and pilgrims.
Better traffic and transport arrangements were highlighted as part of the broader objective of ensuring smooth movement and greater convenience for the public and devotees.
Water Conservation and Heritage Protection
Other key issues discussed during the board meeting included water conservation, heritage preservation, cleanliness and security arrangements in the Braj region.
The focus on heritage conservation seeks to ensure that development in Mathura-Vrindavan remains in line with the cultural and historical importance of the area.
