The announcement is aimed at providing greater financial support to Anganwadi workers and helpers who play an important role in delivering nutrition, childcare and other welfare services at the grassroots level.

Helpers to Get ₹6,000 Monthly

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the revised honorarium would provide additional financial relief to workers and helpers associated with the state’s Anganwadi system.

The increase comes as the Uttar Pradesh government continues to focus on strengthening welfare measures and supporting personnel involved in community-level services.

Anganwadi centres are an important part of the government’s efforts related to child development, nutrition and maternal welfare, with workers and helpers serving as a key link between government programmes and beneficiaries.

The revised monthly honorarium means Anganwadi workers will receive ₹4,000 more per month, while helpers will receive an additional ₹2,000 per month compared with their previous honorarium.
