Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), has intensified its statewide crackdown on gangster networks under the ongoing ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign.
Bhagwant Mann Conducts 581 Raids in Gangster Crackdown
As part of the latest phase of the operation, police teams conducted 581 targeted raids at identified and mapped locations across Punjab. The coordinated action resulted in the arrest of 238 individuals, including seven proclaimed offenders, according to Punjab Police.

The enforcement teams also recovered 24 weapons during the raids. Police said the operations were carried out as part of its continued efforts to identify and disrupt criminal networks operating across the state.
With the latest arrests, the total number of arrests made since the launch of the campaign has reached 68,937, highlighting the scale of the sustained enforcement drive against gangster-related activities.
The Punjab Police and AGTF have been conducting targeted operations against individuals and networks suspected of involvement in organised criminal activities. Authorities have been focusing on mapped locations and persons identified during investigations and intelligence gathering.
The latest statewide action is aimed at weakening gangster networks by apprehending wanted individuals, recovering illegal weapons and disrupting the infrastructure used to facilitate criminal activities.
Police said the campaign reflects its continued commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of people across Punjab. The force has reiterated that action against organised criminal networks will continue.
Punjab Police has also appealed to members of the public to share information related to gangster activities with law enforcement agencies. Citizens can provide information anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline at 93946-93946.
