Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced that 912 selected candidates from the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board’s Direct Recruitment 2023 for the clerical cadre will receive appointment letters.
The appointment process is set to add new personnel to the Uttar Pradesh Police across three posts — Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk) and Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts).

Yogi Adityanath said the appointment of the 912 selected candidates would mark the beginning of a new phase of responsibility in their lives while strengthening the Uttar Pradesh Police with additional manpower and capabilities.
The recruitment was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) under its Direct Recruitment 2023 process for the clerical cadre.
Selection Through Transparent Recruitment Process
According to the Chief Minister, the candidates were selected through a fair and transparent recruitment process conducted by the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. The appointments cover specialised clerical and confidential roles within the police department, including positions related to administrative and accounting functions.
