Balbir Singh highlighted the kidney transplant service as part of the Punjab government’s healthcare initiatives, saying life-saving treatments are being made available free of cost in the state.
During his visit to Rajindra Hospital, the minister met the family of a patient who had undergone a kidney transplant through the facility and spoke to them about their experience and the patient’s recovery.

According to Balbir Singh’s statement, the patient’s family expressed gratitude to the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government for providing access to free treatment.
The minister also interacted with the medical team involved in the treatment and appreciated their efforts in providing care to the patient.

Balbir Singh said the government’s healthcare initiatives are aimed at ensuring that people can access critical medical treatment without facing financial barriers.
