On Sunday, the leaders of the Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee held a meeting and decided the future strategy. Giving this information after the meeting, the convenor of the committee, Shailendra Dubey said that on Monday we will present our views in the High Court. He said that the way of talks with the government is still open.
He said that our token strike is ended at 10 pm on Sunday night. After that further decision will be taken. He said that the government should desist from repressive action.
Energy Minister AK Sharma was supposed to talk to the striking workers after the meeting of the employees, but even after the promise, he did not turn up.
Impact of the strike
At the same time, the strike has affected various areas of the state including Purvanchal. In many places, the electricians have disappeared after closing the feeders. In such a situation, even after power generation, the supply system remained collapsed and the general public was suffering.
