UP school removes student’s name after he defecates inside classroom

A Class 1 student at a private school in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, had his name removed as a punishment for defecating in the classroom.

The Regional Block Education Officer issued a notice to the school and asked for an explanation in the meanwhile, having taken notice of the situation.

The incident happened at the Meerapur town-based Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir school when a 5-year-old pupil urinated in the classroom on Monday. Ramkumar Sharma, the school’s principal, then removed the student’s name as a consequence.

Anirudh Bhardwaj, the child’s father, claimed that he was denied a meeting with the school’s principal. He claimed that the teacher had asked him to wash the kid.

We need to receive our child’s TC and fees back now that his name has been struck from the school’s records, he claimed.

Pramod Sharma, the Meerapur Block Education Officer, took notice of the situation and wrote a notice to the school asking for clarification.
