Uttar Pradesh: In a village called Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a 55-year-old man and his two grandchildren passed away and two other people became unwell after consuming tea that was allegedly chemically laced.

Who are the Affected?
After consuming tea produced at his home in the village of Nagla Kanhai, Shivanandan, his kids Shivang (6) and Divyansh (5), his father-in-law Ravindra Singh (55), and neighbour Sobran became very ill, according to Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Dixit.

Those who are ill have been sent to Saifai for treatment
They were all transferred to the local hospital, where the staff pronounced Ravindra, Shivang, and Divyansh dead. According to media reports, Sobran and Shivanandan's health is still critical, and they have been sent to Saifai.
According to Dixit, a preliminary investigation has revealed that Shivanandan's wife Ramamurthy accidentally poisoned the tea by mistaking the drug sprayed on the paddy for tea leaves.
