Uttar Pradesh: Nitin Gadkari Claims to Transform UP Roads At Par With US By 2024. Announces Rs. 8000 Cr Project

Uttar Pradesh: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has promised that by 2024, Uttar Pradesh’s roads will be better than those in the United States. The Union minister was addressing at the Indian Road Congress’ 81st annual meeting (IRC).

Nitin Gadkari was reported by ANI as saying, “ANI has announced a package of Rs 8,000 to support the road construction in Uttar Pradesh.” “Before 2024, Uttar Pradesh’s roads must be upgraded to American standards. The Modi administration would soon approve five lakh crore rupees for UP for this.”

Notably, Nitin Gadkari stated before the Rajya Sabha in August that India’s road infrastructure would resemble that of the United States. There is no lack of money. Before 2024, I vow that India’s road infrastructure will be on par with that of the United States, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
According to Nitin Gadkari, a total of 8,000 crore has been granted for the Shahabad-Hardorh, Shahjahanpur to Shahabad, Moradabad-Thakurdwara-Kashipur, and Ghazipur-Ballia bypasses, in addition to 13 ROBs.

In Lucknow, Gadkari also convened a review meeting where all of the proposed and ongoing National Highway projects in Uttar Pradesh were discussed.

Gadkari advised CM Yogi to make sure that the usage of diesel and petrol is gradually phased out in the state in order to combat air pollution and carbon emissions.

Gadkari stated that “PM Modi has a vision to make India the most powerful economy and that this will require solid infrastructure.

Additionally, he suggested that bitumen may be made from recycled agricultural stubble. For the purpose of providing transit in metropolitan areas, he added, UP must also adopt the London model.
