CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Strict Directions
CM Yogi Adityanath has instructed revenue, police and administrative officials to work in coordination to identify irregularities in land transactions. He has also asked authorities to take swift and stringent action against those found violating the rules, stressing that negligence or corruption will not be tolerated.
The state government said the changes are part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen land governance and protect the rights of farmers, small landholders and genuine buyers. Officials added that special attention will be given to sensitive areas, including urban expansion zones and regions prone to land disputes.
To ensure effective implementation, district magistrates have been asked to regularly review land-related cases and submit compliance reports. The government also plans to increase public awareness about the revised procedures so that citizens can carry out property transactions without falling prey to fraud.
The administration believes that stricter regulation of land purchases will reduce litigation, improve ease of doing business in real estate and contribute to planned and lawful development across Uttar Pradesh.
