CM Bhagwant Mann Addresses State-Level Event on 649th Prakash Purab of Guru Ravidas Ji from Khuralgarh Sahib

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday participated in the state-level programme organised to mark the 649th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, addressing people live from Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the birthplace of the revered saint.

Sharing the update on social media, the Chief Minister said the state-level celebrations were being held with devotion and reverence to honour the life and teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji. The event witnessed participation from devotees and members of the community who gathered to pay homage to the saint philosopher.

During the programme, CM Bhagwant Mann highlighted the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji, particularly his message of equality, social justice and human dignity. He said Guru Ravidas Ji’s philosophy continues to inspire society to rise above discrimination and work towards an inclusive and harmonious social order.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the Punjab government remains committed to preserving and promoting the legacy of saints and social reformers who worked for the upliftment of marginalised sections. He said such state-level events help connect the younger generation with the spiritual and social values propagated by Guru Ravidas Ji.

The state government said the celebration at Khuralgarh Sahib reflects its continued efforts to honour Punjab’s rich spiritual heritage and strengthen social unity. Devotional activities and cultural programmes were also organised as part of the Prakash Purab observance.
