Viral Video: During a repair job on a phone in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, the phone blew up. The accident was very close to killing the shopkeeper and the customer. The phone had charging issues, so it was brought in to be fixed.
But things got worse when, while the phone was being fixed, the battery was taken out and the phone caught fire within seconds. On Saturday afternoon in the Pali area of the district, a young man went to a cell phone shop to get his phone fixed. The whole thing was caught on the store's CCTV. Siyaram Singh Patel, who runs the Pali police station and is in charge of the town, said that the situation is being looked into and information is being gathered.

The local police said that the young man went to the cell phone store because his phone wouldn't charge. In the CCTV footage, the young man can be seen standing in front of the shop counter with his phone on the glass counter. The cover of the phone can be seen to be open. While this is going on, the shopkeeper tries to take the phone's battery out with a tool, but there is an explosion in less than a second. When people and store owners saw the fire, they left.
Mahesh Chaurasia, the owner of the store, said that he was taking the phone's battery out around 11 a.m. to try to figure out what was going on. But he said that if he hadn't moved quickly away from the explosion, the flames would have burned his face. The customer also barely got away from the event.
When the video went viral on social media, people wrote that they were shocked by what happened and that this is not the first time something like this has happened. A few users also said that the cheap materials in Chinese phones can do more damage.
