Yogi Adityanath lays roadmap for ‘Dharamnagari’ Ayodhya

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Aditynath who is on a two day visit to Ayodhya offered prayers at Hanumangarhi temple. The chief minister then met with Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and assessed the progress of Ram Temple construction. The work on construction of the temple’s ground floor is supposed to be completed by October this year. “The people of the country and the world are eager to see a ‘Divya, Bhavya, Navya Ayodhya’. We have to ensure that every devotee and tourist visiting Ayodhya goes back with a special sense of peace, contentment and joy,” Yogi Adityanath said.

PM Narendra Modi to lead consecration ceremony

CM Adityanath has also confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be performing the consecration ceremony of the idol in January next year. Earlier in August 2020, PM Modi had performed Bhoomi Poojan at the sacred site. The work on construction of Ram Path is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. CM Adityanth’s government has allocated top priority to temple town aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Liquor, meat to be prohibited

Outlining the fact that Ayodhya is a religious city, CM Adityanath has invoked possibility of banning liquor and meat products in the city’s vicinity. “Public sentiments should be respected and consumption of meat and liquor should be prohibited here.” Adityanath said. He also called upon various government departments carrying out projects in Ayodhya to work in a more coordinated manner. During a review meeting with ministers and senior officials, Yogi said “Every single project is important. It is necessary that there is mutual coordination between the departments and a coordinated action plan is developed. With inter-departmental coordination, all works should be completed with quality in a time-bound manner.”
