Victim’s Year-Long Ordeal with Bus Driver
The incident occurred on Saturday evening, near the Atarpura crossing. The girl had been facing harassment at the hands of the bus driver since over one year. On Saturday, after the bus crossed Hapur, the driver targeted her once again when she was getting down from the bus. The victim alleges that the driver started molesting her at the bus gate and, on raising an objection, assaulted her and left her wounded and traumatized.
She managed to call her family, who reached the spot after her call. Angered by the incident and the continued misbehavior of the driver, the family confronted him, which turned into a violent fight. They beat up the driver and smashed the bus out of their anger. The bus driver was later arrested by the local police after being informed about the ruckus.
Victim Alleges Driver Cut Her Hand and Marred Her Maang with Blood
The woman told the police that the driver not only molested her but also cut her hand and filled her ‘maang’ with her own blood. Police immediately took the driver into custody, and an investigation into the incident began.
