Apple: Apple released its financial information for the fourth quarter of its fiscal 2023, which concluded on September 30, 2023. The business reported $89.5 billion in revenue for the quarter, a 1% decrease from the previous year, and $1.46 in earnings per diluted share, a 13% increase YOY.

“Today Apple is pleased to report a September quarter revenue record for iPhone and an all-time revenue record in Services,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We now have our strongest lineup of products ever heading into the holiday season, including the iPhone 15 lineup and our first carbon-neutral Apple Watch models, a major milestone in our efforts to make all Apple products carbon neutral by 2030.”
“Our active installed base of devices has again reached an all-time high across all products and all geographic segments,” said Apple’s CFO, Luca Maestri. “During the September quarter, our business performance drove double-digit EPS growth, and we returned nearly 25 billion dollars to our shareholders while continuing to invest in our long-term growth plans.”
Revenue breakup
Cook claims that compared to the iPhone 14 series, the iPhone 15 series has gotten off to a far better start. Revenue from iPhones increased to $43.8 billion overall for the quarter compared to the same period the previous year.
According to Apple, Mac revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, was $7.6 billion, 34% less than the same period the previous year. Although not as much as with the Mac, iPad income went down as well. With the iPad, Apple made $6.4 billion in revenue. One of the causes for the decline in revenue in 2023 was Apple’s failure to release a new iPad.
