Elon Musk: Making audio and video calls straight from the app is a new feature that Elon Musk’s social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is introducing for Android users. According to a post made on Friday by X engineer Enrique, the feature will be available following an app update. It is important to remember that access to this feature is restricted to premium customers only.
X rolls out Audio and Vidoe calls for Android users
The implementation of these features is consistent with X’s endeavours to improve communication and user experience on the platform. It seeks to give Android users a quick and easy way to connect via video and voice calls right from the app.
As X transitions to being a “everything app,” users on the microblogging platform will also be able to make audio and video chat calls with the launch of this capability, similar to Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and other social networking apps.
How to enable this feature?
- On your Android phone, launch X.
- From the sidebar, select Settings and Privacy.
- To access additional settings, scroll down below Privacy and Safety.
- elect Direct Messages now.
- The audio-video calling tab will appear.
- To use the feature, turn on the toggle.
