Google Play Store: As Google is working dedicatedly to improve the functioning of all its products, the tech giant announced that it will add AI features in the Google Maps to enhance the navigation experience on the app. As per the company’s announcement, the tech giant will improve the usability of some existing features with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Checkout how the new AI features will benefit end users of the App.
Enhanced Navigating Experience
Previously at Google I/O, the company announced immersive views for routes features. With this feature, users will be able to see the preview of their journey. The company will first roll out this feature in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Florence, Dublin, London, Las Vegas, Miami, San Franscisco, San Jose, Venice, Los Angeles and Tokyo on both Android and iOS.
More Detailed Map
Presently, Maps show information about the traffic situations such as crashes and traffic jam. After getting the AI treatment, Google Maps will display the information more exactly. With this update, users will be able to get realistic navigation experience experience which will also provide lane details on expressways. The company will push this features in 12 countries in the coming months which include France, Canada, US and Germany.
Google lens Feature
With the new AI update, the company will add Google lens in the Maps. This feature will allow users to better interpret their surroundings and they will be able to find any place much easier than before.
Photos Based Navigation
After getting the AI update, users wlll be able to get photos based on their search on Maps. For instance, if you will ask “Things to do on Weekend. Google Maps will provide you with the related images on the Maps App. Users will be needed to tap on the photos to navigate the place.
Electric Vehicle Information
Presently also, Google Maps show information related to EV charging stations. The new AI update on Maps will provide more detailed information about the vehicle such as charging speed of available chargers and charger compatibility.
