Google Playstore: Tech Giant To Feature Real-Money Gaming Applications On Android Play Store

Google Play Store: Google has decided to allow real money gaminhg applications on Play Store. All these apps will be approved by self regulatory authorities. This will be implemented after the Government release of New regulatory framework for Gaming platforms.

This new development comes after Google ran an year long pilot to allow fantasy sports and rummy apps on Google Play to be made available for Indian Users.

The Pilot was started by Google in Septtember last year. Application which were the part of this pilot will remain available to install via Google Play.

“We intend to enable distribution on Google Play for all self regulatory bodies (SRB)-verified online real money games that comply with our policies. We are closely tracking all developments in this regard to determine next steps and timelines,” a Google spokesperson said.

Google has also made updates on its support page to mention that the tech giant will not add or accept more apps in the pilot. Google will provide a grace period for already participating apps in the pilot project, these apps will remain on Google Play till January 15, 2024.
