Samsung has launched its latest premium smartphone, Galaxy S25 Edge, and it’s turning heads with its super-slim design. It’s one of the thinnest smartphones on the market with just 5.8mm thickness, aiming to go head-to-head with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air, which is rumoured to be even slimmer at 5.5mm.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Specs And Price

The Galaxy S25 Edge comes with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and sharp visuals. It runs on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and offers 12GB RAM with two storage options: 256GB and 512GB.

Samsung has used Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front and back for extra durability. A premium design with a titanium frame keeps it lightweight yet sturdy.

For photography lovers, the phone features a 200mp main camera with optical image stabilisation and 2x optical zoom. There's also a 12mp ultra-wide camera. On the front, you get a 12mp selfie camera tuned for better video calls and selfies. The Galaxy S25 Edge runs Android 15 with One UI 7, and Samsung promises seven years of software updates.

It houses a 3,900mAh battery, which supports 25w wired charging and Qi wireless charging. It’s slightly smaller compared to the regular Galaxy S25’s 4,700mAh battery, but still efficient.

As for pricing, the 256GB model starts at Rs 1,09,999, while the 512GB version costs Rs 1,21,999. Pre-orders have started on May 13.

iPhone 17 Air Vs  Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: What Sets Them Apart?

Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 17 Air in September 2025. The buzz is that it will be the thinnest iPhone ever, measuring only 5.5mm in thickness. It’s said to feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by Apple’s next-gen A19 chip.

In terms of cameras, the iPhone 17 Air might come with a 48mp rear camera and a 24mp front camera. While it might offer less camera versatility than Samsung’s dual setup, it’s expected to shine with ios-exclusive features and sleek design.

However, battery life could be an issue for Apple’s ultra-thin build. Reports suggest it might even need a battery case to last a full day. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to start at Rs 99,900, making it slightly cheaper than Samsung’s flagship.
