Instagram Threads: With the successful release of Threads, the newest app from Meta, the parent company of social media behemoths Facebook and Instagram, fresh headlines have been made. Threads has experienced an incredible spike in the less than 24 hours since its launch, hitting 95 million postings and attracting more than 50 million profiles.

On Thursday, Instagram unveiled “Threads,” a rival to Twitter, and it has since gone viral. The app was introduced as Instagram’s “response to Twitter” because it directly competes with the microblogging service. Threads is a text-based programme with a very similar UI and features to Twitter. Instagram Threads has amassed 50 million users in just one day, so it appears as though Twitter should be concerned.
Although rumours on the amount of user sign-ups have been made ever since the app’s introduction, Meta has not yet provided official data for Threads. Threads has reached 48 million user sign-ups, according to internal data that Meta gave to Verge. Joe Scannell, a user of Threads, later revealed that the software had 50 million users. Even though these figures aren’t confirmed, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if they were, and more people are anticipated to join the count.
