Moto X40: A new smartphone in Motorola's X series, is about to go on sale in India. The Moto Edge X30, which came out in Chinese markets last year, will be replaced by the Moto X40 when it goes out of stock.
In the meantime, a Lenovo executive teased the Moto X40 by giving a few details about the upcoming smartphone.
Sources say that the Moto X40 probably will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This phone has been seen before in the China Compulsory Certification database, or 3C, with the model number XT2301-5. China Compulsory Certification database, or 3C.
The Moto X40's specs have already been hinted at by Lenovo's general manager Chen Jin in a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset
Media sources say that the Moto X40 may have a 50MP main camera, an FHD+ screen, and a Snapdragon CPU that hasn't been announced yet. Which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset at the time of writing.
Motorola is making a phone with the model number XT2301-5, and the company just got the same model certified by China's 3C.

Motorola X40 could come out as the Motorola Moto Edge 40 Pro
Motorola is expected to bring the Moto X40 to markets all over the world, including India, so this phone won't just be available in China.
Reports say that the Motorola X40 could come out as the Motorola Moto Edge 40 Pro in India and other countries in March of next year.
