Pre-orders for a gaming phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC to start, the phone may launch on December 26

Red Magic 8 Pro: This will be the first smartphone to market with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, optimized for mobile gaming.

Now, pre-orders for this gaming phone have just started in China, so here are all the details.

The Chinese company that makes smartphones just started taking reservations for its newest flagship phone on JD.com, a popular online store in China.

The pre-orders are being taken before the official announcement of the device.

As of right now, it's not clear when the company will actually release the phone, but the 26th of December 2022 is when it's likely to happen.

While the official debut is still months away, some of the device's essential specs have been leaked according to a recent TENAA listing.

We may assume from this listing that the display will be an OLED panel measuring 6.8 inches and sporting a fast refresh rate in addition to a resolution of Full HD+. Because this is a gaming phone, it will also have an effective cooling mechanism to maintain a good temperature even when engaged in heavy tasks like gaming. There will be a camera capable of snapping selfies with 16 megapixels installed on the front of the device. Most likely, there will be three 50-megapixel cameras on the back.

Under the hood, the device will probably be powered by a pretty sizeable 5,000 mAh battery pack that is compatible with an impressive 165 W quick charging system. Some of the internal parts will also be visible through the back panel, which will be made of transparent material.
