Size comparison
In terms of size, the Redmi Note 12 5G and the Realme 10 Pro 5G are nearly identical. While the Realme 10 Pro has a slightly larger 6.72-inch display than the Redmi Note 12 5G’s 6.67-inch display, the Redmi Note 12 5G has larger overall dimensions – both in terms of height and width. This is primarily due to the Reame 10 Pro’s bezel-less display, which has no borders other than the chin on the bottom of the front panel. One thing to note is that Realme’s ability to make the bezels so thin with an LCD display is impressive, given that LCDs are not as flexible as AMOLED panels.
Performance
Both the Redmi Note 12 5G and the Realme 10 Pro 5G use Qualcomm chipsets for performance. The Redmi Note 12 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, whereas the Realme 10 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC. In terms of RAM, the Realme 10 Pro 5G has up to 8GB, whereas the Redmi Note 12 5G has a maximum of 6GB. Both smartphones support virtual RAM expansion, but the Realme 10 Pro 5G offers more, with up to 8GB expandable RAM, whereas the Redmi Note 12 5G only supports 5GB.
Battery
With a few exceptions, the Redmi Note 12 5G outperformed the competition when it came to battery life. The Redmi Note 12 5G and Realme 10 Pro 5G both have 5,000mAh batteries and support 33W fast charging. On paper, everything appears to be in order. However, when it comes to actual battery life, the Redmi Note 12 5G outperformed the other devices. During our testing, the Redmi Note 12 5G provided more on-screen time in one battery cycle than the Realme 10 Pro, but the difference was not significant.
Cameras
Cameras are another subjective topic. In this regard, the Redmi Note 12 5G and Realme 10 Pro 5G differ. The Realme 10 Pro 5G has a dual rear camera, whereas the Redmi Note 12 5G has a triple rear camera setup. The primary shooter on the Realme 10 Pro 5G, on the other hand, is a 108-megapixel sensor paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor or a portrait lens. The Redmi Note 12 5G, on the other hand, features a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
