Bangalore has become the first metro to sell tickets through WhatsApp. But it is likely that after Bangalore and the Delhi Metro, metro tickets with QR codes can be started in other cities.

How to buy tickets through WhatsApp?

To book a Bangalore Metro ticket through WhatsApp, you need to save the BMRCL WhatsApp chatbot number (8105556677) in your phone.

After this, you’ll have to send a message to buy the ticket.

You will have to give information about which metro station you want to go to and which metro station you want to go from.

After that, payment will have to be made based on that distance. People will have to pay for metro tickets through UPIs and netbanking.

After this, your QR-based metro ticket will be made.

At the moment, Android and iOS users can use the service in English and Kannada. Users will have to scan the QR-based ticket at the metro’s exit gate.

Terms and conditions for QR-based Metro tickets

This ticket will only be valid on that business day. If you don’t use that ticket, it will expire after a day and your money will be returned to your account. Buying tickets with QR codes will be cheaper. Users will get a 3 percent discount on every ticket.
