Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga’s The Conjuring: Last Rites is holding strong at the Indian box office, even though collections dropped after the opening weekend. The film (which is the last chapter of the popular horror franchise) has crossed Rs 55 crore in India within four days.

Released on September 5, The Conjuring Last Rites opened big and became the biggest Hollywood opener of 2025 in India, beating Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. Fans rushed to theatres to watch Ed and Lorraine Warren’s final case on the big screen.

As reported by Sacnilk, the film made around Rs 5 crore on Monday (Day 4). With this, the total India net collection now stands at Rs 55.50 crore. The sharp drop after the weekend shows a struggle to keep momentum, but it is still far ahead of recent Bollywood releases.

On Friday (Day 1), the film earned Rs 17.5 crore (Rs 10 crore from English markets, Rs 6.35 crore from Hindi, and Rs 75 lakh from Tamil). Saturday matched the opening day with Rs 17.5 crore, while Sunday brought Rs 15.5 crore. Monday saw a steep fall to Rs 5 crore, but the four-day total remains strong.

About The Conjuring Last Rites And Baaghi 4

Apart from box office numbers, The Conjuring Last Rites also closes the horror saga on an emotional note. Wilson and Farmiga return as Ed and Lorraine Warren in their last paranormal fight.

The story begins in 1964 with a haunting during the birth of their daughter Judy, who is saved by a supernatural event. The narrative then jumps to 1986, where the retired Warrens are pulled back into the paranormal world after the Smurl family reports strange happenings linked to a cursed mirror. Judy faces disturbing visions from her past as demons rise, testing both family and faith. The film ends with Judy marrying her fiance (Tony), while Ed and Lorraine look forward to a peaceful life.

On the other hand, Bollywood’s Baaghi 4 tells the story of Rony, who survives a near-death experience. Haunted by hallucinations of his first love and her death, he learns there is more to it than memory. This sets him on a path of revenge. Despite Tiger Shroff’s star power, the film is finding it tough to match the hype of The Conjuring.

Though The Conjuring Last Rites slipped on Monday, its four-day total of Rs 55.50 crore keeps it far ahead of Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files.
