Deepika Padukone Becomes 1st Indian Actress To Get A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame - Here’s Everything We Know

Pathaan beauty Deepika Padukone has made history on the global stage. She will soon be the first Indian actress to have her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of entertainment’s most iconic honours.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed the Class of 2026 in a live announcement. Deepika’s name stood proudly among 35 global icons from the worlds of film, TV, music, theatre and sports.

The Walk of Fame selection process is competitive. Only a few names are picked from hundreds of nominations every year. This year’s announcement was made by Walk of Fame stars Eugenio Derbez and Richard Blade.

Deepika earned her spot in the Motion Pictures category. She joins international stars like Emily Blunt, Demi Moore, Rachel McAdams, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek and Stanley Tucci.

Deepika made her Hollywood debut back in 2017 with XXX: Return of Xander Cage, where she starred alongside Vin Diesel. Since then, she has gained a huge fan following worldwide, making this recognition a big win for Indian cinema.

The 2026 class also includes a wide mix of talent. Actors like Molly Ringwald, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Noah Wyle are on the list, along with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and Good Morning America hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. Special effects master Carlo Rambaldi and director Tony Scott will be honoured posthumously.

Deepika’s Personal And Professional Front

Away from the spotlight, Deepika is also celebrating motherhood. She and her husband, Ranveer Singh, welcomed their daughter Dua Padukone Singh on September 8, 2024. Sharing their joy during Diwali last year, they wrote, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude.”

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi blockbuster starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. The film was a massive hit, and she is already confirmed for its sequel.

She is also gearing up for a big pan-India action film with Allu Arjun. The project is being directed by Jawan fame Atlee and is currently titled AA22xA6.
