Vishnu Manchu’s much-talked-about film Kannappa finally hit theatres on June 27. Audiences have praised Vishnu Manchu’s committed performance. Many feel that he gave it his all to turn Kannappa into a visually powerful and emotionally rich film. Prabhas’ extended cameo (reportedly over 17 minutes) also left fans excited, with many saying the film truly picks up once his character appears.
Several viewers said that the final act of the film was its strongest point. The last 20 minutes, especially a song sequence tied to the mythological theme, were mentioned as emotionally moving. Performances by Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal, and Mohan Babu also got mentions for their screen presence, even in brief scenes.
However, not everyone walked away impressed. Some viewers criticised the romantic track and the action scenes, saying they lacked energy and purpose. A few also felt that Prabhas’ cameo, despite the hype, didn’t live up to expectations due to flat dialogue delivery and weak writing.
