Prabhas’ The Raja Saab has been making headlines not just for its story but also for off-screen controversies. The horror-comedy, directed under People Media Factory (PMF), recently faced reports of pending dues and strikes by workers. To clear the confusion, the production house has now issued an official statement.

The Raja Saab Makers Address Pending Dues

PMF confirmed that nearly Rs 60 crore has already been paid to daily wage workers over the last year. However, around Rs 1 crore from the July schedule is still pending and will be cleared soon. The team explained that the delay happened due to a strike and a pause in the shooting schedule.

They also clarified that contract-based workers have been paid on time, amounting to nearly Rs 30 crore. In their statement, PMF said, “It is therefore both inaccurate and inappropriate for unrelated individuals or self-proclaimed federation/union leaders to make public statements regarding internal company payments.” The makers also stressed that they have no financial commitments toward any unions or federations.

Direct Payments For Workers – How?

To avoid future disputes, PMF has introduced a new system where workers will receive payments directly in their bank accounts. The statement read, “To ensure greater transparency and to eliminate past malpractices of routing payments through representatives, all payments will henceforth be made directly to workers into their bank accounts. PMF will not release funds to intermediaries under any circumstance.”

The pending dues for the July schedule are expected to be cleared this week after workers provide their bank details to the executive producers.

Apart from worker payment issues, the film is also caught in a legal battle. Ivy Entertainment has filed a complaint in the Delhi High Court accusing the makers of not completing the film on time and failing to provide proper fund utilisation details.

Despite these hurdles, fans are still excited about The Raja Saab. The film, which was earlier scheduled for April 2025, has now been postponed to December 2025.
