Kapil Sharma asked Raj about the surprising interview and said, “Raj has interviewed a personality who even the top agencies in the country couldn’t manage to approach. How did you approach him?” Raj replied with a smile, “I was out for a walk in London. I just happened to spot him and I went up to him and asked – Sir, do you know who I am? He said no. I asked – Do you know what a podcast is? He said no.”
This casual encounter led to one of the most successful videos on Raj’s YouTube channel. The four-hour-long conversation with Vijay Mallya has now crossed 26 million views. As of July 24, Raj has over 11.7 million subscribers.

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 Struggles Despite Big Guests
Although the line-up this season included major stars like Salman Khan for Sikandar, the cast of Metro In Dino, cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Yuzvendra Chahal, and actors like Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma, Pratik Gandhi, and Jitendra Kumar, the show’s ratings continue to dip. Fans online have said the latest episodes feel “boring” and lack the spark of the original Sony TV version.
Kapil Sharma moved his show to Netflix in 2024, bringing back his full team (Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh). This season also marked the return of Navjot Singh Sidhu. But even with familiar faces and new guests, viewers seem less engaged compared to past seasons.
