However, a Maha Kumbh 2025 Viral Video has surfaced, showing a unique journey undertaken by seven friends from Bihar who found an alternative route.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, on February 10 and 11, Prayagraj was overwhelmed with pilgrims. Trains were jam-packed, and buses were stuck in kilometers-long traffic jams, making it nearly impossible to reach the holy city via conventional routes. That’s when these seven friends from Bihar came up with a brilliant idea—to travel 550 km by motorboat along the Ganga!
One of the group members, Mannu Chaudhary, shared that they had been following news reports of extreme crowding, with a traffic jam stretching over 300 km. To avoid this chaos, they decided to take a motorboat ride from Buxar to Prayagraj. Their journey began on February 11 at 10 AM, passing through Ghazipur and Varanasi, before reaching Prayagraj in the early hours of February 12.
Mannu Chaudhary explained that their motorboat was specially prepared for the trip. Here are the key details of their adventurous journey:
Their journey ended 5 km before the Sangam, from where they easily reached the sacred bathing spot. After taking a holy dip, they returned to Buxar using the same route.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 Viral Video showcasing this unique boat journey to Prayagraj has sparked massive reactions from netizens. Social media users flooded the comment section with humorous and appreciative remarks.
One user commented, “This is a great idea! Why didn’t you tell Modi ji? He would have sent everyone to Maha Kumbh by boat!” Another wrote, “Jaha chaha, waha raha” (Where there is a will, there is a way). A third simply praised them, saying, “Well done!”
With Maha Kumbh 2025 drawing millions of devotees, alternative travel routes like this motorboat journey on the Ganga are gaining attention. This viral story highlights not just the pilgrims' devotion but also their creativity in overcoming travel challenges to participate in the world’s largest spiritual gathering.
