She Fought the Fire To Save Her Son

Saddening stories are coming out from Ahmedabad, showing that some local residents near the crash site were also among the victims. NDTV India posted a devastating video on their X handle, showing a mother's helplessness in the face of the all-consuming fire that erupted immediately after the crash.

The victim, Sita Patni, saw her 15-year-old son caught inside the fire and lose his life. A giant fireball surged through the street as soon as the plane crashed on the BJ Medical College, and her son was caught in the blaze.

Eyewitnesses report that she ran into the flames without hesitation, desperately trying to pull him out. But despite her bravery, her son died on the spot, and Sita suffered critical burns.

In the Ahmedabad plane crash, approximately 300 people lost their lives. Apart from the 241 passengers aboard the aircraft, several medical students and local people at the crash site lost their lives.

With the rescue operation going on, the death toll is rising. The situation is so severe that identification of the dead bodies is nearly impossible. The forensic team is taking DNA samples in the hope of identifying the bodies.

Prime Minister Modi has already visited the crash site and met with the wife of former Gujarat's CM, Vijay Rupani. Rupani was among the 241 passengers who died in the tragic Air India plane crash yesterday.
