‘Hindu Rashtra Ghoshit Nahi Karna Hai, Wo Hai…’ RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Opens Up On Retirement Age, Hindu Rashtra And More

During his speech, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke on issues related to Hindu Rashtra, the tradition of leaving the RSS, and matters of social equality. He was quite clear that the concept of Hindu Rashtra is already there in the culture of India, and the retirement tradition of 75 years is not binding but a custom.

While commenting upon Hindu Rashtra, Mohan Bhagwat said that India has been a Hindu Rashtra from time immemorial, and it is not a new thing, but it has to be recognized formally. Moving away from religious debates and concentrating on how to implement the values of unity, harmony, and equality in society, Bhagwat was of the opinion that a lot could be gained, and people would be more focused.

Retirement Age is a Matter of Tradition, not a Rule.

In the same breath, Mohan Bhagwat also cleared up the doubt regarding the retirement of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief. He went on to say that the standard procedure of leaders’ resignations after they attain the age of 75 is not a hard and fast rule but merely a well-organized tradition of the institution. As a result, Bhagwat explained, such customs would facilitate the exchange of ideas, and the loyalty to the organization’s output would remain during continuity.

MeghUpdates, a commentator, also on X, reacted to Bhagwat’s statement concerning retirement age by saying:”Mohan Bhagwat explained that the tradition of the 75-year age limit in RSS is not a rule but a custom. The change of leadership is done in this way smoothly.”

Mohan Bhagwat On Social Equality

Among other things, Bhagwat talked about the abolition of discrimination based on caste. He asserted that in India, social unity is derived from Equality and Respect, mutual and non-mutual. Social reforms, according to Bhagwat, should not discriminate against or favor any particular group and should thus pave the way for a just society. And the only way to plot the path to be shared among all is by practicing Equality and Dignity in everyday life. The handle Mr. Sinha took to X to disseminate the core points of Bhagwat’s speech:

“RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said – Hindu Rashtra does not need to be declared, it already is. Focus should be on unity and equality.”

Bhagwat’s remarks have sparked wide discussions on social media, with many highlighting his emphasis on equality over labels. His call for unity and dignity in everyday life resonates strongly in today’s divided socio-political landscape.
