What Did Salman Khurshid Say?
During the event, Amish Devgan questioned Salman Khurshid about the allegations made by Manish Tewari regarding the Manmohan Singh government’s response to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Tewari, in his book, criticised the government’s inaction, calling it a sign of weakness rather than patience. Addressing this, Devgan asked Khurshid, “India should have taken strict action after the 26/11 attacks. This was not patience but a sign of weakness. You were also a minister in the government at that time.”
In response, Salman Khurshid remarked, “Action was taken. I was the Foreign Minister. Not everything can be shown. Choli ke peeche kya hai woh poocha nahi jata.” The phrase, which many found distasteful, immediately ignited controversy.
