Raja Raghuwanshi Murder: New Video Emerges ! Unsuspecting Husband Dutifully Walks Behind Wife Sonam, Oblivious of Death

Husband murders seem to have risen sharply in recent times across many parts of the country. Moreover, Meghalaya police found clear evidence of a planned attack on Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon. 

A tourist captured a video that later surfaced on the internet ahead of the crime. Sonam is under surveillance after her shocking confession about the cruel murder plot against her husband. 

The Viral Footage: A Glimpse Into the Final Hours

Dev Singh found a clip of the couple near rolling hills shortly before tragedy struck during their honeymoon that he filmed during the trip to Meghalaya. He posted the viral video on Instagram soon after learning that he had captured Sonam and Raja there after the murder case.

Then NDTV India shared the viral video clip on its X page and drew wide public immediate attention.  In the video, Sonam leads up the hill wearing a white t-shirt police found at the crime scene. Also visible is a polythene bag that is likely to hold a raincoat. 

A Romantic Trip Turns Tragic

The couple chose Meghalaya for a peaceful weekend getaway after their wedding celebration. Initially, they enjoyed stunning waterfalls and lush green hills, with laughter filling each bright day together. However, the mood shifted suddenly when Sonam led Raja to a murder conspiracy.

Raja appeared calm and unaware as they moved toward the lush forested slopes. Tragically, the romantic trip led directly to a deadly ambush that ended Raja’s life abruptly. 

The Shocking Murder: What Happened to Raja?

Meghalaya police revealed that conspirators tried to kill Raja on three previous close but unsuccessful attempts. They first struck in Guwahati, then twice in Sohra near the famous Cherrapunji waterfalls before final planning. The fatal attack occurred at Weisawdong Falls after the accused chose a more quiet, secluded spot. 

Police believe the killers tried to hide Raja’s body in Guwahati, but the plan failed. Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem explained these details and discussed the viral video evidence yesterday afternoon. 

Wife Sonam Under Scanner: A Prime Suspect?

Sonam disappeared soon after the murder, but she surrendered herself to Meghalaya police quietly later. During cross-examination, she recently confessed to participating in the plot alongside alleged boyfriend Raj Kushwaha. Investigators also recovered a white t-shirt matching the one Sonam wore in the viral video footage. 

Police obtained a photograph of Sonam with Raj together, which surfaced during the early stages of the investigation. Her confession and these new findings have pushed officers to treat Sonam as a prime suspect now.

This tragic case shows dangers that may hide behind a seemingly joyful short honeymoon trip. Investigators will continue probing all leads until full justice serves Raja Raghuvanshi and his family.
