Thailand: According to a police spokesperson, a mass shooting at a children’s daycare in Thailand’s northeastern province on Thursday left at least 31 people dead.
Victims include both children and adults
Police said in a statement that the victims comprised both children and adults and that a manhunt was being conducted for the gunman, an ex-police officer.

According to a government official, the Prime Minister has instructed all agencies to take action and find the offender.
Although Thailand has a high percentage of gun ownership compared to certain other nations in the region, enormous quantities of illegal firearms, many of which have been imported over the years from war-torn neighbours across porous borders, are not included in official statistics.

Mass shootings are uncommon, but in 2020, a soldier who was upset about a property deal gone wrong went on a spree that left 57 people injured and at least 29 dead.
