Tom Cruise is presently in South Africa filming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Parts 1 and 2. He shared a video between shooting in which he leaps out of the plane to thank fans for their support for Top Gun: Maverick, which became one of the year’s highest-grossing Hollywood blockbusters.

“Hey everyone, here we are over lovely South Africa, and we’re filming ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” parts one and two,” Cruise says as he jumps out of the plane. I didn’t want the year to close without thanking you all for coming out to see ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ and for your support. Following this message, Christopher McQuarrie, who is directing the next picture and also co-wrote Maverick, is heard stating, “Hey, listen, we really have to roll. We have to get this shot.”
“As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you,” Cruise says as he falls from the plane. It certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime honor. We need to get this shot. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday. We’ll see you at the movies.” Top Gun Maverick made almost $1.4 billion, with $692 million coming from the United States alone.
Mission Impossible debuted in 1996
Tom Cruise starred in the first instalment of the Mission Impossible movie series, which debuted in 1996. After the fourth movie’s commercial success, the series became a cult favorite. McQuarrie previously helmed the fifth (Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation) and sixth (Mission: Impossible — Fallout) and is now returning as the two-parter as writer and director. McQuarrie’s past work in the franchise has been tremendous blockbusters, with Fallout emerging as a brilliant commercial success, as it had grossed over $790 million at the international box office.
