Viral video: As Delhi-NCR witnesses an alarming increase in conjunctivitis cases, the recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding are believed to be the primary culprits behind the surge. The humid conditions and waterlogging have created ideal conditions for the spread of the eye flu, causing concern among residents and medical authorities.
Delhi police's creative twist
In the midst of the rising eye infections, Delhi Police has stepped in with a unique and witty approach to raise awareness about the importance of prevention. In a recent Instagram post, they shared a graphic featuring the viral Kala Chashma song, adding a Bollywood twist to their advisory.
The graphic posted by Delhi Police shows an animation of the Kala Chashma song, originally sung by Amar Arshi and featured in the movie Baar Baar Dekho, starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra. The catchy song is a hit among the masses and has now been ingeniously employed by the police department to drive home the message about conjunctivitis prevention.
A creative take on prevention
With a play on the song's lyrics, the graphic reads, "To all those suffering from conjunctivitis, 'Tennu kala chashma jachda ae, jachda ae tere mukhde pe'." Alongside the animated text, the advisory urges people to wear glasses to protect their eyes and prevent the spread of conjunctivitis.
