Viral Video: In a Hilarious Take, Mumbai Police Shares Ravana Video To Highlight Benefits Of Wearing Helmet. Watch Video

Viral Video: With their latest effort to raise awareness of the value of wearing helmets while operating two-wheelers, the Mumbai police, who are renowned for their wit and comedy, have once again captured hearts online. This promotion coincides with a rise in traffic accidents.
The author of this idea, Mohammed Sadriwala, claimed “It is a highly significant and current idea because many fatalities could have been prevented if helmets had been worn. The ten heads on Raavan are well recognised. That is where the notion first emerged, and the fact that humans only have one head makes it all the more important to safeguard it.”

“It’s a hilarious take that also warns people about the risks of avoiding head protection by wearing it. Given that it is Vijayadashami, it is appropriate to draw a comparison in which good defeats evil. As a result, let good habits prevail over negative habits here,” said Mohammed Sadriwala.

About the advertisement

The advertisement, which was developed by Schbang Digital Solutions, Mumbai Police, and the Traffic Control Branch, takes a humorous jab at the average commoner for being immature by not worrying about their personal safety while riding and has more of a subdued public service message. Raavan here is seen as the nice one, keeping in mind the Dussehra celebration in which he is mostly viewed as a nasty, wicked character.

“We originally presented the notion to the Mumbai police, who were enthusiastic and supportive of the idea of using Raavan to spread awareness of the importance of wearing helmets on the road. People do not listen when anything is forced upon them or enforced, therefore the aim was to utilize humour to convey a message, according to the film’s producer and director, Raashi Nahata.

“Also, given how wacky and entertaining Mumbai police is on social media, their entire brand image, and perception, complement extremely well in terms of their relationship with this campaign,” Raashi Nahata continued. The goal is to startle people by bringing Raavan into the actual world.

A bad character is spreading a good message and altering perceptions for a change.

The advertisement features Raavan riding a two-wheeler waiting at a signal alongside another man riding a scooter without a helmet. As the traffic lights turned green, Raavan made a sarcastic remark and taunted the other man, “I have ten heads, but you have only one.” The other man was startled and embarrassed.

“Bikers are required to wear helmets. I urge all drivers to wear helmets and obey the law on behalf of the Mumbai Police, said Vivek Phansalkar, the commissioner of the Mumbai Police.

Rajvaradhan Sinha, the Jt. Commissioner of the Mumbai Traffic Police, stated at the movie’s premiere, “This film is a call to action for citizens of the city, state, and even the country to wear helmets. Raavan has ten heads, whereas the average person only has one. The purpose of this movie is to raise awareness of helmet use.
