Viral Video: A pet dog bit a six-year-old boy on Tuesday inside the elevator of a residential complex in Greater Noida, causing serious injuries. The dog attacked the child as soon as it and its owner entered the elevator, as visible in the CCTV footage from inside the lift.

The incident occured in The La Residentia residential complex in Greater Noida. This comes after a string of other cases in Noida where dog bites are becoming common.

Dog lost his control and attacked the child

According to the boy’s mother, the experience has left him scarred and he has started talking about “killing and chasing them away.” She continued by saying that she knew the dog’s owner well.

The dog allegedly lost control and attacked the boy as he and his mother were getting into the elevator, according to the boy’s father. He stated that the youngster tried to hide behind his mother, but the dog persisted in attacking.

Nobody follows the guideline: AOA

The incident was described as “very scary” by a member of the apartment owners’ association (AOA). He said that although the apartment complex had some laws in place to regulate pets, “no dog lover follows them.” He also said that the organisation will report this to the Greater Noida authorities and also call for legislation to address the increased number of dog bite incidents.

Other people from the building expressed their outrage at the situation and described the incident as disturbing. They said that the government had not established any firm guidelines to stop similar instances. They continued by saying that although there is a notice in the apartment complex listing certain guidelines for dog control, no one actually follows them.
