Viral Video: An elephant from Tanzania is thought to be the biggest in the world and weighs over 8000 kg. According to the most recent research on elephant size, an unnamed Tanzanian elephant is now thought to be the largest elephant that has ever lived.
Susanta Nanda, an employee of the Indian Forest Service, uploaded the footage to social media. It depicts a large elephant travelling through Tanzanian jungles. There have previously been two elephants that have gotten bigger and heavier than this one. The largest land creatures in the world today are African elephants. With a whopping 24,000 lb (11,000 kg), a shoulder height of 3.96 metres (13.0 ft), and a height at least a metre more than the typical male African elephant, the largest African elephant ever discovered was discovered in Angola.
The African elephant is the largest of all elephant species, weighing up to eight tonnes and standing between 8.5 feet and 13 feet tall, according to the World Wildlife Fund. The savanna and the forest elephant are two subspecies of the African elephant, each with its own unique traits. Eastern and southern Africa are home to these elephants, with Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia, and South Africa having the highest populations.
