Viral Video: Indian Railways passengers' growing impatience has sparked concern, with viral incidents highlighting troubling behavior. In one such viral video, a boy is seen breaking the glass of a train door at Basti railway station after the coach doors remained locked. The incident has drawn widespread attention on social media, raising questions about passenger conduct and railway management.
A viral video of this incident was uploaded on the X account named “Ghar Ke Kalesh.” The video shows a group of passengers becoming angry and damaging a coach of the Mumbai-bound Antyodaya Express at Basti railway station. The video reveals that the passengers were upset because the train's doors were locked, and they couldn't board. In their frustration, one passenger threw a stone to break the glass of the door, while others removed the metal grill from the window to get inside.

The video quickly went viral, sparking a flood of reactions from social media users. Many expressed their frustration over the incident, with one user commenting, “Wasn't the inspector available at that train station? Why are these people vandalizing the train? The trains are already running with much difficulty.” Another user asked, “What punishment should be imposed on them? Any suggestions, guys?” The viral video further fueled discussions about the safety and behavior of passengers in Indian Railways.
According to the Times of India (TOI), the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Basti has filed a report under the Railway Act against the people who caused the damage. However, they remain unidentified. Officials explained that the train was overcrowded, and passengers inside had locked the doors to prevent more people from boarding. This action angered those waiting at Basti station and led to the vandalism.
