A throwback video featuring Tyke, a female elephant, has resurfaced. This incident sheds light on the brutal treatment Tyke endured in a circus, which ultimately led to her breaking point.
Recently shared on Instagram by Muneer Patcha, the video has gained a lot of attention once more. Tyke, a female African elephant, had been performing in a circus for years, undergoing torture and cruelty. The original incident occurred in Hawaii on August 20, 1994. After years of suffering, Tyke finally lost it on that awful day and went on a horrific rampage. In front of an appalled crowd, she killed her trainer and hurt a groom. Everything that happened was captured on camera for almost sixty minutes. In a tragic conclusion, Tyke was shot 86 times by cops before she passed away.
20 August, 2024, was Tyke's 30th death anniversary. Now, a lot of people are sharing the video, thinking back on the heartbreaking incident and demanding a stop to animal abuse in circuses. The atrocities these animals go through for our amusement are brought to light by this incident.
