Bageshwar Viral Video: The video of an 80-year-old man from Bageshwar in Uttarakhand is going viral for the right reasons. In the viral video, an elderly man could be seen complaining to the medical staff members of a private hospital in Haldwani who were refusing medical treatment on the basis of his Ayushman Card.

Bageshwar Viral Video-Turn Of Events

The video was captured during a visit by the Kumaon Commissioner to Bageshwar. Surprisingly, the elderly man was expressing his complaint in impeccable, fluent English that has surprised social media users across the country.

In the video, the elderly man went with his wife to a hospital in Haldwani. However, the concerned hospital refused treatment under the Ayushman Yojana. The elderly man then took his wife to Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani and then made a return to Bageshwar.

Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat was present at the same time in Bageshwar, inspecting the district hospital. The elderly man complained to him about the lack of medical treatment for his wife.

The man explained that he worked as a professional engineer in Mumbai’s Godrej Group of Companies. He commented that his wife was forced to treat at a private hospital for which there was never any refund. His wife was suffering from severe pain caused by kidney stones.

Interestingly, treatment for listed ailments is free in private hospitals under the Atal Ayushman Yojana in the state of Uttarakhand.
