Delhi Road Accident: A tragic Delhi road accident in Dwarka has left the city shocked. The crash claimed the life of 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra. He was reportedly on his way to work when a speeding Scorpio hit his bike. The incident occurred on February 3. Since then, grief and anger have spread across social media.
According to Sahil’s mother Inna Makan, the Scorpio was driven by a minor. She alleged that the driver was filming a “speed fun reel” with his sister at the time. Makan insisted that this was not just an accident but a “criminal act.” She argued that performing stunts and filming videos on busy roads puts lives at risk. Her plea for strict punishment has resonated widely, with many expressing sympathy and concern.
Delhi Police Confirms Accused Is Minor
The Delhi Police confirmed that the accused driver is 17 years old. Initially, authorities considered prosecuting him as an adult. Therefore, his age was listed as 19 in the FIR. However, the defence later submitted documents confirming his minor status.
Police sources stated that the accused’s father was detained and later released. Officials added that his name would be included in the charge sheet under the Motor Vehicles Act. The investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the autopsy report revealed the cause of Sahil’s death. It cited hemorrhagic shock due to craniocerebral injury. The report also mentioned injuries to the right upper limb and vital organs. Doctors stated that the injuries were consistent with a road traffic accident.
