Rohit Sharma Viral Video: Mumbai was buzzing with excitement on Thursday as the triumphant Indian cricket team returned after clinching the T20 World Cup 2024. The city almost came to a halt with thousands of fans flooding Marine Drive to catch a glimpse of their heroes. The Rohit Sharma-led squad paraded through the streets on an open-top bus before heading to the iconic Wankhede Stadium for a grand felicitation ceremony.

A Heartwarming Surprise for Rohit Sharma

All eyes were on captain Rohit Sharma during the celebrations. Amidst the festivities, Rohit received a heartwarming surprise as his childhood friends, including Tilak Varma, made an appearance. They first saluted him and then lifted him up in joy.

Adding to the fun, Rohit’s friends recreated the famous Richard Morgan Fliehr (Ric Flair) walk that the 'Hitman' had done while receiving the trophy from Jay Shah, a moment that had gone viral.

Stranded in Barbados

The joy of the win came with its challenges. The team, support staff, their families, and media personnel were stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl, a category four storm that had shut down the Grantley Adams International Airport for three days.

Thanks to the efforts of BCCI secretary Jay Shah, a special flight was organized, departing on July 2 and landing in Delhi at around 6:00 AM on Thursday. Board officials and media members from the tournament were also on this flight.

Warm Welcome at the Airports

As the Indian players arrived at their respective airports, they were greeted by a sea of cheering fans. Cries of "India! India!" echoed through the terminals, with many supporters shouting the names of their favorite players. The Men in Blue acknowledged the overwhelming support by waving to their fans from inside the team bus, which then took them to ITC Maurya hotel, their place of stay.
