The shocking video is from Shillai village in Himachal Pradesh, a popular tourist destination located at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Concerned netizens are demanding that tourist footprints be limited in these vulnerable mountain areas to save the ecosystem. 

Viral Video: Timely Escape Saves Car Occupants 

The unpredictable mountain roads of Himachal Pradesh witnessed a sudden and terrifying landslide, as captured in an HP viral video shared by @SachinGuptaUp on his X handle. The footage reveals the sheer force of nature, highlighting the dangers that lurk in the hilly terrain.

The video is from the Shillai village in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, which is giving chills to the spectators. People are wondering why mountains are becoming increasingly vulnerable to landslides.  

Netizens Demand to Limit Tourists in the Mountains

The viral Himachal landslide video again ignites the online debate on over-tourism and constructional works in the mountains. While reacting to the video, one user says, “Pahadi ilako par abh tourist par laaham lagin chahiye hai wahan par jaane ke liye permit banaye jaaye taaki usse jyaada log na jaa paaye aur santulan bana rahe”. 

While another user criticises the increasing popularity of sacred pilgrimage places amidst the youth. He says, “तीर्थ स्थानों को पर्यटन स्थल में मत बदलो 60 के ऊपर मां बाप को भेजो और जब खुद हो जाना तो चले जाना”.  

While no lives were lost in this landslide incident, all can appreciate the frightening situation the tourists were in. As tourism and development are expanding in Himachal, safety and environmental balance must remain top priorities.
