Jhansi Viral Video: A disturbing incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district has triggered outrage across social media, after a video emerged showing a drunk man forcibly kissing a hotel receptionist. The accused, identified as Aman Agarwal, is the son of a well-known jewellery businessman in the city. He was arrested after the woman filed a formal complaint with the police.
Jhansi Viral Video: Businessman’s Son Forcibly Kisses Hotel Receptionist
The incident took place at a popular hotel bar, where the receptionist was on duty. CCTV footage, which later went viral online, captured the entire sequence. In the video, Aman can be seen entering the lobby with two women. He appears visibly intoxicated as he walks towards the reception desk and starts talking to the staff member.
The clip shared by journalist Sachin Gupta shows Aman holding the woman’s hand while speaking to her. Moments later, he leans in and allegedly kisses her on the cheek. The receptionist looks uncomfortable, yet he continues to engage with her. As the group moves towards the lift, Aman returns to the desk, holds her hand again and this time forcibly kisses her on the cheek. The woman is visibly distressed and taken aback by his actions.
The video sparked anger online, with many users demanding strict action. One user wrote, “It is extremely shameful that the son of a reputed businessman is indulging in such a senseless act. Strict laws and stringent action are necessary to curb the rising crimes against women. Aman Agarwal should face severe consequences for his actions, so that no one else dares to repeat such an incident in the future.”
Another user commented, “Aise logon ko aise samay par nahin roka gaya to aaj chumma liya hai, kal balatkaar karega aur parso chhupaane ke liye hatya bhi kar dega. Agar aise badtameezi karne wale ko nahi saza di gayi, to inhi logon ka man aage chalkar badh jaata hai aur phir balatkar ya hatya ke roop mein agla kadam saamne aata hai.”
Some also expressed frustration about the justice system. A user wrote, “Jurmana leke chhoot bhi gaya bhai. Aaj ki hi news h bhai chhoot gay. Aapko to pata hi hoga nyay vyavastha aise hi work karti h.” Another added, “Paisa hai uske paas. Kuch nahi hoga usko.”

Police Take Action
According to media reports, the woman lodged a complaint immediately after the incident. Police acted on her statement and arrested Aman Agarwal. Jhansi Police later posted on X that the Navabad police station had “arrested” the accused and presented him before the court. They also confirmed that “legal proceedings” were initiated under the relevant sections.
However, the exact charges filed against Aman have not yet been disclosed. Police have said that further investigation is in progress.
