A viral video of a heated exchange between MP Rajeev Rai and Dr. Saurabh Tripathi at a hospital in Mau, Uttar Pradesh, has taken social media by storm. The incident happened during an inspection visit by the Samajwadi Party MP and has sparked many reactions online. The video shows a verbal spat between the two, with the doctor boldly saying, “Agar aapko Netagiri karni hai, toh bahar jaaiye” (If you want to do politics, go outside). The confrontation happened during MP Rajeev Rai's visit to the hospital after receiving several complaints about Dr. Saurabh Tripathi. Reports suggest that the doctor was accused of leaving work early, neglecting patients, and mistreating them. Rajeev Rai, who represents the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency, went to the hospital to look into these claims. However, the visit quickly turned into a verbal spat, which was caught on camera. In the viral video, Dr. Tripathi advised the MP to avoid doing politics inside the hospital, which led to a strong reaction from Rajeev Rai.
The video, shared by a social media user named Sanjay Tripathi on X (formerly Twitter), quickly gained traction, with users sharing their views on the situation. Some supported the MP, criticising the doctor for his rude tone, while others defended Dr. Tripathi for standing his ground. One user commented, “Even though I am a doctor, I condemn the actions of this doctor. This way of talking to an honorable MP is very inappropriate.” Another added, “I am with the doctor. Entering someone's chamber and trying to intimidate him should be discouraged.”
After the confrontation, MP Rajeev Rai filed an official complaint with the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) and the District Magistrate (DM). The MP accused Dr. Saurabh Tripathi of misbehaving and disrespecting his authority. CMS Dhananjay Kumar Singh confirmed that appropriate action will be taken against the doctor after an investigation into the complaints.
